Sarebbe facile, recensire l'orrendo Icky Thump.
Sarebbe facile, demolire il mediocre Get Behind Me Satan (oh, che bel titolo...peccato che sia mediocre...).
Ma non lo farò.
Perchè fare una recensione negativa è molto più divertente di far mille recensioni positive.
E non voglio sentirmi troppo potente.

Dunque...
Elephant.
Elephant è, a mio avviso, l'ultimo disco dei White Stripes.
Sporco, ma lindo.
Intenso, ma accessibile.
Commerciale (PO PO PO!) e alternativo.
Indipendente, ma non indie.
Poi, il diluvio.
Una vena artistica che continua a perdere sangue.
Una vena artistica che ora è troppo importante, per potersi fermare.
Ed io mi fermo, a guardare queste canzoni corte e veloci.
Canzoni che spero di rivedere presto, dalla stessa mano che ora si perde in finta progressività e poca ispirazione.
